I've collected coins since I was a boy and I thought it would help complement my Tyneside Family History web pages to include some of the coins that people have used through the years. I am in no way a coin expert so it would be no use contacting me about any coins you have in your possession. On a technical note the photographs of the coins and the painted miniatures were taken using a webcam
2 x 1 Farthing = 1 Halfpenny.
2 x 1 Halfpenny = 1 Penny, 12 x 1 Penny = 1 Shilling. 2 x 1 Shilling = 1 Florin or 2 Shillings
Halfcrown = 2 shillings and sixpence.
